controversy over Ram Mandir

Ram Mandir a place of worship of Deity Ram lalla for Hindus. Conflicts related to this place arised in 1528 when Mughals build Babri Masjid at that place.
It was locally believed that Babur's Generals demolished the temple that existed on that site before the Masjid was constructed.

From that time controversy related to the place started between Hindus and Muslims. In 1885, first time the case went to the court. And after that case related to the land filed by different local parties. In October 2019, the SC. gave the final verdict on this case. But in the time span of all these years many things happened like placement of Lord Rama's idol in the main area in 1949, unlawfully demolishion of Masjid in 1992 and  the courts started to gave verdicts on some cases related to it but in April 2002 , a three judges bench of Allahabad High Court said to Archaeological survey of India to do a survey on that place and submit a report over it.

In this report ASI said that in 12th century there was a temple situated at that place and in 16th century there was a Mosque at the place.

The final verdict came in October 2019 in which 2.77 acre land of temple went to Ram Lalla Virajman committee and 5 Acre of land from central or state government was alloted to Sunni Waqf Board.

Now you will ask, the dispute was settled in 2019 and how is it still a matter of controversy

On 5 August 2020, our Hon'ble prime minister went to led the "Bhumi Pujan of Ram Mandir" At Ayodhya. Now some politicians starts criticising him and said that "it is a defeat of secularism".
