Annually on September 5, we celebrate National Teacher's day to express our gratitude and honour to the teachers in our lives that have influenced us and taught us about everything the world has to offer. This day designated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birthday in 1962 for their huge contribution in teaching.

He was one of the most distinguished scholars of the 20th century. He served as the first vice President of India. And the second President of India. 

He was honoured with knighthood in 1931 and Bharat Ratna in 1954.

He dedicated his life towards education and improving the standards in the field of education. 

He was nominated 16 times for the Nobel Prize in Literature and 11 times for the Nobel Peace Prize. 

Teachers should be the best minds in the country.
